Hello and welcome! We are excited to have you join in and follow along with us as we plan for the 2021 season.
Who are we?
We are a husband and wife team from Barrhead County, Alberta, approximately an hour northwest of Edmonton. While we haven't always been farmers, we have both lived and loved the hobby farm life since we were kids. While pursuing our other careers (a trucking company and nursing respectively), we have had this passion for small scale, intensively managed, ethical farming simmering in the background, slowly building as we developed our small farm to meet more and more of our personal food needs, and expanding in the last year to small scale local sales. This coming 2021 season we have finally reached a point where we can pursue that passion more fully as we offer weekly seasonal vegetable and egg sales and subscriptions in the new year.
How can we stay in touch?
We believe that customer satisfaction should be on equal footing with ethical care of our land and animals, and with having a successful farm that can continue to supply the community for years to come. Since you are such an important part of what we do, we would love to hear your questions, feedback on how we are doing, suggestions for new produce you'd like us to trial (we are currently trialing ginger in our basement so we are game for pretty much anything), input about other local producers we can feature, or anything else you think we should know!
